FROM THE SHEZAN ARCHIVE

Fruit and vegetables are the starting point for much of the Shezan range. The company’s orchard story describes Pakistani-grown tomatoes, mangoes, apples, strawberries, peaches, pears and green chillies finding their way into preserves, ketchup, squashes and drinks.

Some ingredients are sourced internationally to complement local growing seasons. The 2016 account names Brazil for oranges and lemons, Italy for red grapes, and Germany for lychees.

The story also highlights Swat’s fruit-growing region. Peaches for the All Pure range and pears for canned fruit were described as coming from Swat.

Together, these growing and sourcing choices connect the harvest with the products enjoyed at breakfast, lunch and family gatherings. A familiar flavour begins with the ingredients, long before the first sip or spoonful.
